Back in the mid-80s, when I lived in Albuquerque and went to Eldorado High School, I spent a lot of time at the University of New Mexico computer center. There, I met a college student named Suzzie, whose real name was Bill Scott. Suzzie was a really swell guy, a lot like Michael Schwern. He signed all his email
         Love & Kisses,
             Suzzie
This blew my high school mind, because here was this guy giving love and kisses to everyone, regardless of who they were. Even guys! Whoa!

Years later, when I was spending more and more time online, I started using his signature, but abbreviated:

xoxo,
Andy
Now, I usually just shorten it to
xoa
Why do I sign "xoxo"? I figure that in this day and age, everyone needs some form of love and/or kisses, and that we tend to be jerks to each other too often. It's my little way of trying to fix that.
